Carwai has kindly posted some photos and a summary of the NMY CSL work this year:
“The NMY students have been involved in a gardening project during their Community Service Learning block (CSL). They worked in Oma’s Garden once a week to grow and tend to plants of their choosing. They researched the plants, weeded the garden of invasive mint, and planted new plants according to different themes: salsa box, french fry box, pumpkin box, etc. After a slow start, the garden is just beginning to flourish. We had our first harvest of potatoes this week. The NMY students were pleased with their initial attempts at gardening and have already begun planning ahead for next year’s garden. We hope you stop by Oma’s Garden and see the fruits of our efforts.”
