On Tuesday, June 8, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, the sixth and seventh grade will host a Pecha Kucha Night to share what they have learned and experienced over the course of the school year.

So, what is Pecha Kucha?

“Each presenter [in this case groups of students] is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each - giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.”

The event will be held in the “Studio”, the classroom at the south end of the Media Center building—that’s the opposite end from the library. Why the “Studio”? We’ve called the Media Center Building home (Mother Ship) for NMY all year (longer than planned) and it seems fitting that we finish the year there too. That means that it will likely be a tightly packed house, so you are encouraged to arrive early.

The schedule for the evening will be:

6:30 - Arrival at the event location
6:45 - Six Pecha Kucha presentations
7:30 - Time to mingle and ask students for more information about the contents of their presentations

If you would like to attend, please RSVP by emailing tcsnmy6+pk@gmail.com.
